Recognized as one of the most innovative schools in CSU system, School of Computing and Design provides a unique, interdisciplinary experience, where design students work together with computer science students on projects that later become part of their portfolio. The school offers B.Sc. in Computer Science (CS) and and B.Sc. in Communication Design (CD). Students can choose among a number of concentrations, including game development concentration in CS (the technical side of games), and game design concentration in CD (artistic side of games).
During the course of their study, students design and implement entertainment and serious games using advanced hardware and software techniques, such as procedural content generation, VR and AR head mounted displays, mobile-based VR, Leap Motion and other spatial input devices, motion capture suits, and Brain Computer Interfaces.
The projects are developed in collaboration with students of
University of Silesia's Faculty of of Fine Arts and Music, who contribute to the game design, and provide concept art, models, animation, UI design elements, music, sound effects and character voices.
